Today, Mayor Kennedy Stewart responded to the BC Coroner’s 2020 Overdose Report that represents a tragic loss in Vancouver. 408 people died from, poisoned drugs in 2020 and more than one person continues to die each day. We have lost 2,100 of our neighbours to overdose since 2010. Think about all the people those lives touched. All the parents, siblings, children, and friends. These people were loved and we failed them.

Mayor Stewart has a comprehensive approach to the overdose crisis in Vancouver, including his efforts to seek increased access to safe supply, housing for vulnerable people, and more harm reduction and treatment facilities.
