• We will:

    • Work with senior levels of government to deliver the Climate Emergency Action Plan 
      • Reduce carbon pollution by 50 per cent by 2030
      • Make two-thirds of all trips in Vancouver by active transportation or transit
      • Make half of all driving trips be by zero-emissions vehicles
      • Dramatically increase the number of buildings with heat pumps
      • Install 500 new electric vehicle charging stations throughout the city
    • Due to the pollution and health impacts of gas appliances and heating, we will regulate and support gas replacements in existing buildings and hook-ups from all new buildings

  • We will:

    • Prepare city-wide plans for future climate events
    • Initiate a new Climate Fellowship Program
    • More fully engage residents about the Climate Emergency Action Plan
    • Use more nature-based solutions such as increasing tree cover, especially in parts of the city where this is lacking
